Shellharbour City Council has given the green light to 1881 Tullimbar Oval, a 1.62-hectare recreational space designed to enhance community life. Located along Balmoral Parade, this new Oval will provide a versatile community hub featuring a village green for cricket and rugby league, play and exercise amenities, and wayfinding solutions.
Tullimbar Oval, an integral part of the 1881 Tullimbar masterplan by Dahua Group, is strategically positioned adjacent to residential areas to the north and east. This prime location ensures the oval is easily accessible and connected to existing parks such as Bemboka Park, Foxground Park, and Cordeaux Park via footpaths. These connections will create a seamless network of recreational spaces serving multiple neighbourhoods, accommodating both passive and active recreational activities, including sports fields and courts.
The oval will serve not only the immediate 1881 Tullimbar residents but also the broader community, including Tullimbar Public School and the upcoming Tullimbar Village Centre.
